    CSM Painting WIP

These will be for a friend who is getting into the game. So Purple Gold and Green is going to be the theme.

First up the tester possessed, and don't hate on the photos they were taken with my phone.

For purple and gold it is a little dark, but I am sure it looks great inperson.

I like it but the wings need more to them. Maybe the bones of the wings a different color? Or was that the plan and just testing colors overall?

Not a fan of the wings. I think the wings should be some other color, something more natural or at least neutral so as to not drown the model in purple. Brown leather, especially in a lighter brown or a neutral grey with bone colored bones. Something to tie the winges into the fleshy areas.

I'd also love to see a touch more contrasting green but I'm not sure where I'd put it. Maybe the helmet stripe. A greenish gold might work.

I was thinking of putting some green between the ribs on the chest plate. The eyes are green just hard to see. I might redo the pipes in green. The goal here isn't Golden Demon. It's have a painted army. I've been all over the page about the wings I like them and then I don't and I'm trying to keep this figure under 4 hours spent on him. The guy I'm painting them for likes it so far. I still have the metal to shade and highlight, and the base work.

A healthy drybrush of Slannesh Grey between the wings might be the way to go.

My first inclination is to paint the muscle and bone structure of the wings the same as you painted the flesh parts.

I like him, though right now he does have too much purple, and the wings feel unfinished. I think adding that flesh would help on both accounts.

I think I'm going to paint the wing membranes the Flesh Color.
