    Archaon lists?

Just curious, is anyone at DL planning to use the new "Fantasy Unbound" type rules for WHFB tonight? And is the Everchosen army (LOC and Skaven) acceptable? Want to know if everyone is really considering that stuff standard now

I would be amazed if it makes it to any tournaments; the vast majority of GTs aren't even allowing LOC, or if they are only with extreme restrictions (like Paul's COC, the New Orleans GT, where you can take LOC but only select specials and rares from the same core book as your general). What becomes acceptable when 9th drops is anyone's guess, as are the 9th rules, but at present I doubt anyone will be running that without prior agreement and just for sh1ts and giggles.

Everchosen army would be fine with me. I love playing undead legions, its allowed me to make some items/units previously barely useful into awesomeness. I'd be fine with that.

And I love the idea of unbound (I can recreate the Blood Dragons list from the 5th edition vampire codex!) but I would definitely take a look at the opponents list before playing them. I wouldn't play against an all dragon list for example without making a tailored, themed list for it. I'm mainly looking to have fun.

Yes tournaments are what people "prepare" for but playing crazy lists is fun and can help you understand other aspects of the game that you generally aren't used to due to your army's previous restrictions.

I have actually been running into a lot of people outside the Tuesday night/tournament group lately who are really into the ET idea. Personally I am hoping to organize something on weekends or whenever to do a league type thing using the battles/army lists depicted in the books. If anyone would be interested in that sort of thing, let me know, and what armies you could run.

Ran into a new transplant from UK last week picking up one of the special characters, and Sabin30 and I had a fun ET game the other day. So yeah, there are people doing this. Just a matter of organizing interested participants.

I wouldn't mind doing a end times mega battle. 10,000 points all rules EoT in effect. The magic phase works well in large games.

I can put 10k of OnG on the table.

Ooooh. Funsies. I would have to count up where I could get to points wise with the elves and the daemons. Elves are probably in that range with 2-3k in characters. Sadly, my daemons are the ones without any of the cool stuff in this whole war saga. I still need to read the last 2 books, but plan to pick them up in the next week or so.
