I just picked up my first finecast model, and wanted to know how people have found theirs so far from a painting perspective. GW claims you can paint without priming it, but I don't know if that sounds like a good idea. It does look like the model has a ton of little detail though. would primer hide any of that? I normally prime everything, including plastic.

overall the model does look nice, nothing to write home about though... not what I would consider a huge jump in appearance, but not a step backwards either. I did end up with a big bubble in the back of the storm bolter, but I can fill it...
