Wonko's is starting back up in 2013 with a Campaign-style tournament season. The focus is to capture and control a planetary system consisting of 12 planets.

Each monthly tournament will focus on one of those planets, with certain objectives over the course of the day giving benefits to players over the tournament year as a whole.

Everyone is welcome, though the environment is less cut-throat than what some are used to; keep that in mind when building an army.

NARRATIVE TOURNAMENT RULES

1) Tournaments for the 2013 year will represent various factions fighting for control of a 12 planet system.

2) The Army that wins each monthly tournament will be considered to have won control of that particular planet.

3) The Army (not player) that controls the most planets at the end of the December tournament will have won control of the system.

4) Each planet will have particular characteristics that will affect game play. There will be a planet briefing issued some time prior to the tournament that will give players a hint as to what they may be.

5) The 1st mission of each tournament will include a Relic with a mysterious objective ability that stays with the army that controls it at the end of a game stays with him over to the next game.

6) There will be a mission flow chart based on whether the player won or lost the previous game. Players in the losing flow that have to face a winning player may get a bonus mini-fortification.

7) Units that are completely destroyed in a game will lose a model (owning player chooses) for the rest of the tournament unless they make a 4+ save

8) Independent characters/monstrous creatures that are killed in a tournament will lose a wound for the rest of the tournament unless they make a 4+ save – player may change this to -1 attack.

9) Vehicles that are destroyed will lose a HP for the rest of the tournament unless they make a 4+ save – player may change this to -1 weapon (NOT a pintle mount)

10) The tournament winner chooses a unit or a character and gives it a veteran (or other) ability (buff for the character) that lasts through the tournament year

11) The person who places last (and played all three games) chooses a unit or a character and gives it a veteran (or other) ability (buff for the character) that lasts through the tournament year. If the person has already won a tournament earlier in the year, this will not apply.
