    Lesson Learned

So that puny 3' - 6' cord on your air compressor not reaching the wall? Well be careful about what extension cord you use. After talking to a repair guy it appears that I burned up the motor on my compressor. He suggested that I use a minimum 12 guage cord with a distance no further than 25 ft. At least the new compressor will be an upgrade.

Does anybody else find it odd, by the way, that the information age has led to language becoming an oblique and imprecise tool where even the most straightforward phrasing is pored over with chicken entrails and bone tossing to divine the true meaning?

There's a reason the cord is short. Plug in the compressor at the wall and run the air hose to where you are working = first rule of compressors.
