    The Chaos Dwarf K'daai Destroyer

Where is your rat bastard of a god now Skaven?

I can't think of a snappy one to mock DE...

Well I suppose we fantasy players now know why the 40k people don't play with forgeworld stuff...

BTW-What it does if someone hasn't been passing around the Tamurkhan book over there.

I know gw hates posting stats directly for some reason so

Move is 3 better than an ogre. S and T same as a ghorgon (better than hydra). One more wound than a bloodthirster. Over 10 attacks per turn on average all magical and flaming.

At the start of every round of cc everyone in b2b gets s4 flaming hit. unbreakable/itp.

Now the really silly rule...everything is -1 to wound it. Everything. AKA S 4 and lower cannot hurt it at all.

actually their core is pretty jank...they just cost too much aside from the hobs and the hobs are just gnoblar wannabes with no traps. Hellcannon is good of course, some of the other guns, I am spacing on their names now, are pretty bad though. The characters and items are good.

The lore is really good and the k'dai is crazy.

After looking over all of their stuff again, I don't think that the army is actually broken, or even as good as DE, Skaven, or Daemons but the internal balance is really janky like VC and Warriors. Something that will improve for VC in a few weeks and near the end of the year for warriors if rumor is correct.

Actually a chaos dwarf warrior is a fairly stout deal. Both in point cost and stats, blunderbuss is costly, fireglaves is where the love is at. Magma cannons are going to make everyone cry, doom rockets are now just evil and the doom siege mortar is just wrong on so many levels. The only entry that's not truly worth there cost are the fell-sworn iron guard. For a special choice there cost are really high, there stats good but no special rule that truly makes them worth there very high cost.

But... it isn't a real book. I can make Superdoomgoblins with all stats being 10 and it gets +50 to hit and has a 1+ invulnerable save for 1 point. And it's core. But I can't play it because it's not in a real book.

Actually, it has been said on the book that its supported by GW. So it is a real book.

Where does it say that? It is not sold by GW, stores can't order it, and most players will never see it. Like all other Forge World stuff, it is cool models backed up by unofficial, unbalanced rules.

They do seem to have made an exception to their usual policy this time. Multiple tournaments seem to have already allowed the army.

As the starter of this thread I suppose I should clarify my thoughts on the list, I think the army is very good but not broken. The k'daai is broken though. VC are a bad army that is made good because they have broken stuff. It seems to me that the cd are a good army made great by broken stuff but still not up there with Daemons, Skaven, and DE. I just saw the K'daai's stats and kindof did a happy dance and wanted to troll some. huehuehue

BTW-on an entirely unrelated note, why on Earth are there still Skaven players convinced that they are allowed to cast Curse of The Horned Rat aka Dreaded 13th into close combat? There is a thread with people arguing about this on warseer that isn't a million years old.
