    Protectorate of Menoth Battlebox.

Cody was gracious enough to lend me an entire battlebox to practice some new ideas on.

    Here's the results.

Flames and eyes are really nice, but the gold/bronze seems really flat.

What the pictures don't show is they're all nicely labeled with the names of the models in the back arc marking, should be very helpful for new player demos. Good idea.

Great idea! I think everyone else should do that as well, but in their front arc -- that way I won't have to memorize everything ... ;P

i think these look great. definitely a little inspiration for me when i'm about to start painting my first battlebox (protectorate also). i am currently soaking them in
simple green after a bad priming job that came out quite a bit fuzzy. i really like the menofix in the front and having the name written on the rear base.

Rob, this is some of the best work I've seen out of you!

My one suggestion would be to hit those metallics with agrax earthsade (new Devlan mud), and then maybe highlight back up if you want 'em all shiny-like.

Thank you, I felt they were the best I've done so far. I want to be proud when someone asks who painted 'em.
I'm nowhere near your level though.
. . . and yes, i really need to start highlighting after I wash
