I haven't been to the game store in a while but I like the sound of 1500pts. It requires some real cuts from 2000pts. Usually either cutting your second expensive HQ choice or Heavy Support AND a Troop unit. Which really changes the army play style significantly.

i dont care as to what points we play 1500,1750,1850,2000,2500 are all "fun" sizes for me...
Muffin, I know that i'll be playing my Counts as Greys at adepticon... it should take me 7 months to get them painted... and then for the big team tournament its ORKs all the way! oh and Gladiator will back to Grey knights.
7 months isnt enough time for you...

I like it OK, our game was fun last week, but I don't see it as any different than 2000 really. I'm gonna try for a 1500 point game or two on Thursday. Especially since the next tourney is a team tourney.

I am new to this community having recently moved here, but I would like to add that I enjoy low point games as well if only to add variety. WH40k is made to be enjoyed at many point levels. At my old store we had tournaments from 500-2500. The 750-1500 is range is my favorite.
