How do you paint your cockpit glass?

I'm painting some eldar grav tanks for a friend, and he doesn't want the interiors done, so I'm painting the normally clear glass.

My question is, what kind of look do you guys normally paint on there when you don't keep the clear plastic look? Marines don't have any glass, so I have no refernces of my own to go on.

I like to ink wash the interior surface, really allows the glass effect to remain w/o showing any inside details...

Or just black with a gloss varnish.
Give a man fire, and you keep him warm for a night.
Set a man on fire, and you keep him warm for the rest of his life.
