In light of some new model building, I have a new list to post. I find it fluffy based on the information available, but would like any input from those "in the know," both about the Space Wolves as a competitive force and the Iron Hands fluff. I will accompany each selection with a fluff-based explanation of the choice, so no cries of "FLAVOR OF THE MONTH" will be heard.

HQ:
Venerable Dreadnought 270
Plasma Cannon

Obviously this is Bjorn. Many of the Clan Companies of the Iron Hands are followers of the ancient Venerable Dreadnoughts of the chapter, who with the blessings of the Mechanicus retain their sharp minds and thousands of years of experience.

Iron Father 200
Storm Shield, Servo-Arm, Artificer Armor,
Targeting Bionics, Icon of the Machine-God

This is a Wolf Lord. To decode: the servo-arm is a powerfist, the artificer armor is runic armor, the targeting bionics are a wolf-tooth necklace, and the icon of the Machine-God is the saga of Majesty. The Iron Fathers are respected as much as Venerable Dreadnoughts within the chapter, and some outside of the Iron Hands claim that some may be entirely robotic. The Iron Fathers fill a similar role to Chaplains in other chapters, embodying the philosophy of the Iron Hands that the flesh is weak and weakness must be purged.

Captain 235
Omnissian Axe, Plasma Pistol, Artificer Armor,
Iron Halo, Heavy Bionics, Targeting Bionics,
Meltabombs

This is a Wolf Lord. The wargear is: Omnissian Axe = Frost Axe, Artificer Armor as above, Iron Halo = Belt of Russ, Heavy Bionics = Saga of the Bear, and Targeting Bionics as above. The Iron Hands retain a sophisticated command structure dating from the Horus Heresy. This includes officers of various ranks. The leaders in combat are dubbed Captains, sub-commanders and often bodyguards of the Clan Company's commander. (In this case my venerable dreadnought.)

ELITES:
Honor Guard 238
6 Members, 3 Terminator Suits, 4 Power Fists,
Cyclone Launcher, Chainfist

These are Wolf Guard. This unit is mainly used to give the Tactical Squads their Terminator Sergeants. Also provides three Marines, two with servo-arms (power fists) as bodyguards for the Captain or Iron Father. Or to just run around and be a silly unit of 3 Marines.

TROOPS:
Tactical Squad Alpha 170
9 Members, Servo-Arm, Plasma Gun

Iron Hands Tactical Squad. The Servo-Arm is a powerfist. The Iron Hands adopted the Adeptus Mehanicus naming system for their squads, using the Greek alphabet.

Tactical Squad Beta 170
9 Members, Servo-Arm, Plasma Gun

Iron Hands use plasma weapons when they can. They believe that the ancient and complex plasma technology is superior to more common and mundane weaponry (much to the detriment of the squad's specialist!)

Tactical Squad Gamma 170
9 Members, Servo-Arm, Plasma Gun

Many members of the Iron Hands utilize bionics when possible. I represent this with the addition of Servo-Arms into the Tactical Squads (as powerfists in the list.) The initiation for the Iron Hands includes the removal of one's own hads and replacement with bionic substitutes.

HEAVY SUPPORT:
Predator Annihilator 180
Twin-Linked Lascannon, Sponson Lascannons,
Extra Armor

The Iron Hands prefer vehicle-mounted weaponry to that weilded by Devastaor squads; they belive that the more complex Machine-Spirit is more venerable.

Land Raider Godhammer 265
Extra Armor

The Iron Hands refrain from using non-STC designs for their vehicles. Additionally, at the Battle of Thranx, the resources of several Clans were pooled to make a frontal assault on an antitank position with Land Raiders.

Predator Destructor 100
Heavy Bolter Sponsons, Extra Armor

Although more mundane and of lower technology than the Lascannon, the auto-cannon is still respected for its ability to spit out high-velocity rounds perfect for dealing with lighter vehicles when a lascannon would be over-kill. The addition of the heavy bolters provides the STC Predator with additional anti-personnel capability.

I hope you now understand the functioning of the list, as well as the intent with which I made some of the choices I did. I hope I have done a good job reflecting the fluff of the Iron Hands, and have simultaneously made a list that isn't a pushover. I am conscious of the weaknesses of the list, but I remain confident that it has some suprises for the unwary.

Any feedback is appreciated.
