Question about basing a CSM non-bike biker

How that for a subject line, maright?!

So, I've got some Chaos Knight mounts with FW Nurgle Marines mounted on them. Not a terribly unique idea, I know (nods, with a flourish, to Thomas), but - frankly - I'm not crazy about GW's bikes, whicle I LUV their Chaos horsies. To complement my Ponyboys (stay gold...) I'm gonna do a Nurgle-ified Juggernaut for my CSM Lord to ride. Google it, naysayers.

My question is this: what're folks' opinions on the base for such a Jugger? I've got bike bases to put him on, but - frankly - they look pretty puny underneath him. I could leave him on the standard Jugger base, but are folks gonna beeyotch about a model being based incorrectly. I'm not talking about in "friendly" games at DL, wherein a sort of "I don't think anyone would complain..." kind of attitude would prevail (and - in fact - anyone who knows me knows that I'd just loudly tell haters to piss off anyway). I'm talking about elsewhere. Am I going to get dinged if - say - I take this guy to a tournament, DL or otherwise?

It really depends on how many Helldrakes you bring..........

What rules are you using to represent the "Nurgle-ified Juggernaut" ?

The basic guide-line in the past has been "you can go larger with a base size, but not smaller" - which is why I was asking about the rules you're using to rep your Lord.

If he's a "biker" then no smaller than a bike base. If he's a Juggy, then he should be on a larger 50-60mm ( whatever the size of the dreadnought base is) base. Hope this helps.
with 40k its best to get the rules straight then apply imagination and rationalize; you will only get annoyed doing it the other way round

Yeah, the Nurgle-ification is just going to be cosmetic: green hues, rust, ooze, etc. He's a CSM Lord, MoN with a bike that looks like a Juggernaut and so will be on a base no smaller than a bike-base. However, he's not actually on a Juggernaut (in that it doesn't impart upon the dood riding him any of the Juggernaut charateristic-bonuses), so I was just wondering if when I roll him out on a Jugger base (which I've decided I'm gonna do anyway) are folks gonna get mouthy about the base my counts-as-biker is on. At which point I'll just start singing "Ridin' Dirty," with a hat-tip to Hogleg, and then morph that into Weird Al's "White and Nerdy." That's how I roll.
