I know i'm inviting all kinds of trolls, but I'm trying to finalize my next tournament army for Tau and the Farsight book is kinda tricky. I wanna make sure there are no glaring competitive holes or rules errors. I hate paying the bonding knife douchetax but in return I get all three of the farsight features I wanted to play with: the no-scatter farsight attack (6 flamers or 3 meltas exactly where you want them is very nice), backfield scoring with the crisis suits (will be a new tau experience for me), and that amazing signature gear on the riptide (4d6 to deny, more reliable nova and ion cannon). All that plus get to keep the solid ethereal-anchored firebase and a decent CC threat if Farsight survives. I've found that spending the points on Longstrike was way worth it, so I'm moving away from quantity for quality with the rest of the force.
