That first turn was rough... So many failed saves. Wish We had known/remembered the boyz had a bosspole that first turn. Both getting pinned at full strength 1" away from all my shooting units was a game changer.

Those lootas just had a bad dice day... And I think the grots just imagined they had artillary guns for the first round :P *pewpewpew*

Yeah, it isn't the list, although it is tough, but unfortunately a bad mix of campaign rules. They're twice as fast and shoot better, what's not to love? Oh, they also have 2+ or 3+ cover and are S9 or 10 in combat.

This is when we nuke them from orbit.

YOLO! You obviously haven't seen how the Mechanicus works-- we need to gather data on these new species before we will know how to defeat them. We've got plenty of Skitarii to grind away on "data gathering" missions before we come up with a solution.

Right now the Tech Lords in orbit around Balin are crunching the numbers and preparing the canticles. Fire up the choir, boys, this planet crawls.

The rules for the planets are intended to make the games fun and different. Yes, the specific type of bug list that Dan runs turns out to be uber effective on that planet, but just like his bugs can level up, so too one of us Imperials might well have 12 inch jumping centurions with BS 5 or other nastiness, and invis on a level 3 or 4 psyker if we work for such a thing. As far as the BS 4, I can't make it ok to level up everything else except dakkafexes. If people have thoughts for changing, altering, or just strait up different (and cool) rules for moon fights, by all means let me know.

I have Ultramarines centurions that can be BS5 now and a Tigurius fronted Librarius Conclave. They can be invisible, ignoring cover, and almost always re-rolling hits and wounds with rending hurricane bolters. In a landraider.
