I've already killed 1 Tigurius this campaign for good. I'll kill all his wannabe clones too!

First, this may not be roleplaying, but Necrons working with Eldar breaks any semblance of fluff. Secondly 3 5 man factions doesn't work either, as one man it is an odd number and so one person gets no game, and it makes organizing the challenges very difficult. If we go with my plan, then I'm in the wings to replace the next drop if any, or to fill in for anyone who needs it. Short of anyone else declaring a desire to drop, my plan with probably be what we go with. I'll drop the info on reinforcements latter tonight.

now come on todd noone wants you to drop

i disagree with the fluff. necrons are an advanced society capable of forming alliances. they are the most likely to be on the xenos, as well as the inquisition would put them under the xenos part not the heretic part where they are now. imo the xenos should also include tyranids as that is how the imperium looks at them. i guess i am looking at the alliances from an imperial perspective, the sides being imperial, heretic, and xenos.

my main point is that the sides are not as important to me as having our active players stay in, not drop out. i am really having a lot of fun with the campaign and i really want it to continue, and after it is over i will insist that we come up with some other sort of organized behavior.

It's not that I want to drop out, or wouldn't want back in. It's just that I'm trying to find a way to make it work with the numbers and factions we have and that seems like a very workable option. With an odd number of players the problem of how to arrange the challenges, and one player not getting a game is difficult to work around. It's not like I wouldn't be around, or contributing to things.

As to the fluff side of things ... chaos and 'nids both want to consume and transform the universe. While they wouldn't work together directly/communicatively, for the purposes of factions I think that they fit the best. Necrons there might be some debate but I lean in the same direction of reasoning, and all the moreso given the eons long animosities and wars with the eldar.

If it comes to it I could just play one game per rotation.

Funny, I thought FDR too. Except his wheelchair is a Land Raider.
