A backhanded compliment is a criticism disguised as a compliment. An underhanded compliment is just a criticism. :)
One comment many folks had last year was increased feedback, so if we have more people to fill out feedback sheets, all the better.

The problem with feedback is that people who have no complaints (the majority) don't fill them out. While whiners and tattle-tales do. :rolleyes:
I'm pretty sure he was referring to feedback from the painting judges as to why they scored the entries how they scored them. Not feedback for the event as a whole.
