Blood Bowl anyone?

Anyone out there looking to learn Blood Bowl or come back to the game?

The Austin Blood Bowl League (ABBL) meets weekly at Dragons Lair. We have more than enough stuff to get anyone started with Demos and loaner stuff and are always happy to teach anyone the game.

For those that don't know much about it Blood Bowl has been around for 25 years from Game Workshop. It's been described as a combination of American Football and Rugby but with real fantasy players. Its played ina purpetual league ssyem much like Necromunda or Mordhiem so players and teams are built up over time, but still have to deal with treasury limitation, injured or killed players it truly because your own team.

The Rules are free! The Competition Rule Pack / Living Rule Book 6 (CRP/LRB6) is posted on the GW website (The only Blood Bowl resource left). there are many third party companies that make 3 rd party "fantasy football" teams but if you have some minis laying around you more than likely have enough to make a team. Any manufacture's models or level of paint or lack there of are fine with us!

We are just now starting our spring seasons and we now have 2 leagues running.

The Developmental League it played with casual atmosphere to help develop new team and new coaches. We run 3 seasons a year but its an open league so you can jump in the action at any time. Everyone makes the end of season tournament with some minimal qualifications

The Champions League is a round robin style where you play each team once, only the top teams enter the end of season tournament. This is a competitive league and its recommended a new coach spend at least one season in the Dev league buildign upa team and honing their game before making the jump up
