Opening on Xenos faction, captain also needed

We have two roles that need filling. One is we have an opening in the campaign for a slot on the Xenos faction. I prefer to have a Eldar/Tau player fill the spot if there are any willing interested. If we don't have any, another option would be to bring JW in and either restructure the factions, or (least preferably to me as it SEVERELY stretches the fluff), allow his 'Crons on the Xenos team.

Also, I need one of the Xenos players willing to step up to help corral the faction, and arrange challenges each turn. Anyone interested?

so topher leeman does not get on centex but plays tau and is frequently there on thursdays. i feel bad that he is not in the campaign.

however as i am typing this i am not sure how someone who has difficulty getting on centex would be able to participate with all of the tiles etc being here

ninjawraithlord doesnt sam have a bunch of tau?

i know this is crazy but caldera02 has a bunch of tau and is already a team captain. perhaps he switches to fill the hole and we take jw and nominate a new captain.

i also want to go on record that people should not quit something they started because it causes people to say crazy things like move someone from one faction to the other

Sam sold all his tau for 150$ to a guy who almost immediately stopped playing....

someone should not continue to do something that makes them miserable when it was supposed to be fun all along. that way lies madness, commitment or no.

Yeah, because apparently 40K drives people to madness. It happens everyday. The misery never ends.

God protect us from rabid 40K players throwing minis at people in theatres and making paintbrush bombs.

You know what quitters are really good at? Excuses and justifications. If you have to justify something, you're probably wrong.

Just out of curiosity, how long has this campaign been going and how much is left?

I thought JW was going to fill that spot.

At this point I think we need to move forward with a plan. Moving a player between factions is never my first choice in the middle of a narrative campaign, but JW has been waiting in the wings wanting in for the longest so that will be the plan we move forward with. JW will take the spot playing for Chaos. The leader of the Ork Waaagh has realized that Chaos' plans do not coincide with his own, and has made common cause against them with the Xenos (i.e. TxPlays has agreed to move from Chaos to Xenos).

JW's first game will be the start of round 3, but I think there is a Chaos player needing a fill in for his last game this turn (Khaika) if JW can make it up there tonight.

We do still need a Xenos player willing to take the lead in making sure that the challenges are worked out/organizing for us. It doesn't take much work, just working with myself and Carlisle to make and arrange the challenges at the start of each campaign turn basically. Anyone willing let me know.

Your hyperbole doesn't change or trivialize the core issue. Someone wanted to play, the circumstances changed in a way that made them no longer enjoy the campaign, they quit the campaign. No further justification was needed.

So if TxPlays is joining xenos who do I play this week?

JW doesn't come in until turn 3 officially, so TxPlays can still play you for his last game this round.

Cool. And I don't know if I can do it long term, but I can at least be an interim captain for the turn if no one else is stepping up. Biggest thing is my job is slow now, but it'll pick up in a couple of weeks so we should probably still try to find a long term option.
