Will be moving to Austin in Summer or Fall and looking for games. Play 40k, WarmaHordes, Malifaux, Confrontion 3.x, and looking forward to Helldorado. I prefer skirmish games. I post from time to time at Strictly Average, and the MM(esno) blogs. Looking forward to moving to Austin and playing some games.
Where all do people play?
most people in Austin play at Dragon's lair. SO what are you going to do about Brent? Leave him behind Homer?
He'll be lonely without you...
He doesn't know yet...I'm afraid his heart will break. He is a great guy and will be missed but I'm sure I'll see him from time to time. Hell since he'll have a place to stay maybe I can drag him down for a tournament or something.
Did Battle Forge close? I was down there a couple of years ago for a conference and stopped in there. Was a nice store. Stopped by Dragon's Lair as well and that was a decent shop too. Looking forward to actually getting down there and getting to know you all.
Yeah BFG closed about 8 months ago. Dragon lair is one of the main stores that has playing space in Central Austin. There is another one called Wonko's also. Wonkos is still growing their space as they just moved into a new facility.
I'll be down in Austin for a Conference next week, and will make sure I stop by Dragon's Lair while I'm down there.
Thursday is the big 40k night.

Finally Moving to Austin, TX
Some of you may know me as the PG who used to travel to run Tourneys and Demos @ DL for Warmachine & Hordes.
40K, FOW, Warmachine, Heavy Gear ,and a huge list of other games.

Several people had Mordheim warbands back in the old Thor's Hammer days. I don't know if any are still active in the gaming scene, but chances are that a few still are.
Welcome to the central texas warhammer forum! What Mordheim warbands do you play? There are several people in Austin who would like to play that game (it is one of my favorites too) its just hard to get a campaign going. I have Sisters of Sigmar, Carnival of Chaos, Dwarfs, and Witch Hunters and am always down to play. :)
I would be into a Mordheim campaign. Would probably have to convert and kitbash together a warband though.
After 'Ard Boyz I would love to put a warband back together and play. A 4-8 person campaign would be a ton of fun. Does someone have the Town Criers with the extra warbands and scenarios in them? I looked on E-bay and one of them was 40 bucks :(

Not in Austin yet for another 2 weeks, but soon to be in Round Rock w/ friends till my wife and I find jobs and a place.
I've heard I need to be checking out Dragon's Lair, so that'll probably be home base.
I play 40k, WFB [a little], and D&D, Interested in DeathWatch RPG too [I know those last two aren't really wargames...]
Used to own a game shop in NM, now I do a web-comic about it.
Excited to get to the Austin Area and to be on the forum!
