Updates from this weekend. First a family shot of the industrial stuff. Next step will be sanding the edges of the MDF, and basing them in gravel.

Now a little closer pics

Then some samples shots of the modular pipe fixtures. I need to cut some more shorter length pipes, the longer ones aren't going to cut I don't think:

As always comments and criticism welcome. I bought a 45deg angle cutter this weekend so the next building I do will be using that. I think I'm going to order the Foamwerks 'V' cutter. Then I can just cut long strips and use the V cutter to create cuts I can fold into shape.
Another sample of the modular pipes...stupid 4 image limit...

I love the idea of those pipes. How do they scale though, in terms of LOS? Seems like they would block eye level, but leave a lot of body in sight. Terrain is all looking great though!
Damn, that looks really good.
Ooooh, let's make a replica of the Total refinery in Port Arthur. The view from the top of the main fractionating tower was awesome, perfect for snipers.
I'll try to get a shot up with actual Infinity models up this week with a comparison of how much they actually cover. I'd have to check but rules say models must be in base contact and a portion of the model must be obscured. I have enough common sense to say that a model directly behind the pipes would qualify as based. Worst case you could call the whole area low visibility and get that bonus.
I started working on the same kind of system for ground level pipes as well, same kind of modularity, so a table could have both the high pipes, and a ground level set as well. I may need to get some more fittings and a another length of PVC to finish that off though. I need some more corner pieces, a couple of three way pieces and some end caps I think. Also some more two-ended female pieces. I might build some sci-fi pallets with a fitting on each that can bet stacked up I need to work on a pallet frame some time.
This stuff looks great Shannon. You should check out Plastruct's catalog. They have a lot of pre-made refinery stuff http://www.plastruct.com/pages/Catalog.html I think it would add that level of polish you may be looking for.
Good Link I'll have to grab their catalog when I get to the house. I was looking at the Pegasus chemical refinery kit as well. I think I could break the pegasus kit down for parts and some pieces are already scaled somewhat correctly. http://www.thewarstore.com/product18602.html
